Welcome to Sylvan Archers

The oldest established club in the State of Oregon - Founded in 1933

Sylvan Archers' (Owned and paid for) property in Sherwood OR includes; an NFAA 5 Star Rated Range, range bales to 80 yards, broadhead pits, four NFAA marked courses, plus a Roving and 3D course.

The range is available to members every day of the year, gated entry with lock. Families can camp (no hookups)  on the grounds anytime. (Please check shoot calendar for camping conflicts.)

52nd Annual Sherwood Nottingham Tournament July 19th - 20th

Officer nominations are open

This club can not function without your help. All office positions are open for nominations (please volunteer), you are welcome to nominate yourself. At this time no current officer has chosen to re-run for his/her position. Elections are held in July. Please contact Ken Warner if are interested and can help. New Outdoor (just like an indoor) Target League Begins June 9th

Note - There has been a change to the team format. There was a great deal of difficulty in selecting teams with fairness. So, on the final night: 7/14 a blind draw will be used to choose two three person teams. The team chosen with the best score that night (with each individual's six week handicap) will win!  Each of the three members of the winning team will receive gift cards from Joes sporting goods. We will also have individual awards: lowest handicap; most improved handicap; and weekly random drawing winners. To be eligible for the team awards, lowest handicap and most improved, the archer must have paid for the entire league, or a least 4 weeks.

Member Guidelines

Sylvan Archers’ range is a fun and friendly place to bring you family and friends. To help maintain this level requires certain guidelines.  They are simple and are designed to insure Sylvan Archers can continue to serve our community, as we have for over 7 decades. Thank you for helping us maintain this high level of performance.

We ask that our member follow a few simple guidelines to help us maintain this goal. Some examples:

Broadheads are not permitted on any of the field course or 3-D roving courses at any time. This means they cannot even be in the quiver. The only exception is during the Broadhead league which is run one evening a week for 10 weeks every summer. On the sight-in range they can be shot at designated targets only. Please do not shoot the cedar bales. Should a member bring their own Broadhead target it must be properly set and maintained. Contact the Range Master if you have any questions.

The beautiful Sylvan range is not a public facility. It is for the exclusive use of its members and their guests only. From time to time we do open the range up to anyone during certain special events. As a concession to our members who wish to show off the range to their friends/guest, the club has reasonably limited the number of times a guest can come on the range before becoming a member to twice.

Sylvan shooting ranges including the sight-in range is Alcohol Free. The club house and immediate surrounding areas are available. Our members who enjoy these beverages are responsible drinkers. Sylvan Archers does not allow drunkenness on the grounds. Storage of alcohol is for the short term only and should be taken home when they leave the range. During the storage time, that area is off limits to minors.

Illegal drugs will not be allowed on Sylvan property.

Camping is encouraged but must be limited to 14 consecutive days. There are no hook up's and no RV sewage dumping of any kind on the property. Restrooms are available 24 hours every day.

No firearms, BB guns, pellet guns or paintball guns, are allowed to be shot anywhere on Sylvan property. There is no hunting of any kind on Sylvan property.
